Business Name: ProCore Construction Group
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, deposits, and payment disputes are handled.
1. General Policy
Because construction, remodeling, repair, and maintenance services are custom services, refunds are limited once scheduling, planning, materials, permits, or work begins.
Each project is different, and refund eligibility depends on the written contract, project stage, materials ordered, labor performed, and applicable law.
2. Estimates
Estimates are not refundable because estimates are not payments unless a customer pays a separate inspection, consultation, design, or service fee.
Any consultation fee, inspection fee, design fee, or site visit fee may be non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
3. Deposits
Deposits may be required to reserve scheduling, labor, materials, permits, or project preparation.
Deposits may become partially or fully non-refundable after:
- Materials are ordered
- Custom items are ordered
- Permits are filed
- Labor is scheduled
- Planning or design work begins
- The project is added to the work calendar
- Administrative work has started
- Any project-related cost has been incurred
4. Customer Cancellation Before Work Starts
If the customer cancels before work starts, ProCore Construction Group may deduct any costs already incurred, including:
- Materials
- Special orders
- Delivery fees
- Restocking fees
- Permit fees
- Administrative time
- Design or planning time
- Scheduling costs
- Vendor or subcontractor cancellation fees
Any remaining refundable amount, if applicable, will be reviewed and processed according to the contract and applicable law.
5. Customer Cancellation After Work Starts
Once work has started, refunds are generally not available for labor already performed, materials used, materials ordered, permits, administrative work, or completed portions of the project.
The customer remains responsible for payment for all completed work, materials, and costs incurred up to the cancellation date.
6. Custom Work
Custom work, special orders, made-to-order materials, cut materials, installed materials, opened materials, and customer-approved purchases are generally non-refundable.
7. Completed Work
Payments for completed work are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing.
If the customer believes there is an issue with completed work, the customer must notify ProCore Construction Group in writing and allow a reasonable opportunity to inspect and correct the issue if applicable.
8. Warranty Repairs
If a valid warranty issue exists, ProCore Construction Group may repair or correct the issue instead of issuing a refund.
Refunds are not automatically provided for warranty claims.
9. Change of Mind
Refunds are not provided because a customer changed their mind after materials were ordered, labor was scheduled, or work began.
10. Delays
Refunds are not automatically provided for delays caused by weather, permits, inspections, material shortages, supplier delays, hidden conditions, customer changes, or circumstances outside ProCore Construction Group's control.
11. Required Legal Cancellation Rights
Where New Jersey law gives a customer a right to cancel within a required cancellation period, ProCore Construction Group will follow applicable legal requirements.
Certain New Jersey home improvement contracts may include a three-business-day cancellation right.
12. Refund Processing
Approved refunds may be returned to the original payment method when possible. Processing time may depend on the bank, card company, payment processor, or financial institution.
13. Chargebacks
Customers must contact ProCore Construction Group first before filing a chargeback.
If a customer files a chargeback for valid services, materials, deposits, or completed work, ProCore Construction Group may provide evidence including contracts, invoices, photos, messages, receipts, and project records.
